Regarding Issues - Matching Email in Dynamics
Ever had a email received in reply to an email from Dynamics not match ?
One possible reason could be the email address is different from who you sent it to and who you received it from.
Ok, but you have changed the email address in Dynamics, resent it and it's still not working...
Delete all old emails related to the record for that particular person.
Reason - Dynamics Creates a hash tag on email create, so the original emails will have a hash tag for both the subject and separately the recipients. The second part of the has tag will contain the old email address. Ok but why is it still a problem. Well when the email comes back in it compares hashtag for the subject first then seems to compare the one for the recipients if it picks the wrong sent email it will fail and stop matching. It treats all emails from the same record to the same set of people as the same, when the hash tells it it's not, probably a bug. The order it checks one can only guess. Clearing out the old sent emails for that person and subject works.
